Virat Kohli is a world famous brand in the game of cricket. In his 15 years of cricket career, he has achieved many achievements and created records which many cricketers want. He was also voted the Cricketer of the Decade, and many players praised him and his batting style. However, the last two years have not been good for him.
It has been more than two years since he scored a century and has played 105 matches across all formats without reaching the three-fuger mark. During this time he has played 17 Tests, 21 ODIs, 25 T20s and 42 IPL matches. There always comes a phase in a cricketer's career when he goes through a bad phase. This is the reason why many fans and cricketers still believe that he will return to his best.
And this is what Pakistani wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan believes about the former Indian captain. During a conversation with Krikwick, Rizwan discussed Virat's poor form and expressed his desire to return to form at the earliest. He said that the former Indian captain is a champion player but at the moment he is struggling a bit, but one can pray that we will see him scoring runs again because he is very hardworking.
The wicket-keeper batsman also pointed out that every cricketer has to go through tough times, but it becomes easy after a certain stage. He also said that every player who has scored a century is also out on zero and the process continues like this. Rizwan concluded, “I can pray for him and I hope that through hard work, he will control all things.”
The former Indian captain has struggled in the current season of the Indian Premier League as well. He has scored 216 runs in 12 matches this season at an average and strike rate of 19.63 and 111.34 respectively. He has scored 50 runs only once and has already registered three golden ducks.
Several former cricketers, including a former Indian head coach, have questioned his poor form and asked him to take a break and stay away from cricket to refresh himself. However, Virat replied that he no longer listens to such discussions as no one knows how he is feeling.
