CWG 2022 DAY 4: Historic fourth day for India

The fourth day of the 22nd Commonwealth Games being played in Birmingham was very spectacular from the Indian point of view. 
The Indian team got the good news in the lawn ball at the beginning of the day. Indian women's team has made it to the finals in this game for the first time. After this, Sushila Devi and Vijay Yadav have increased India's medal tally by winning medals in Judo. Talking about hockey, the Indian men's team lost the victory but the team of badminton and table tennis have made their place in the finals by performing tremendously. At the end of the day Harjinder Singh ended the Indian day by winning a medal in weightlifting.

India has reached the final for the first time in the game of lawn ball. The women's four team defeated New Zealand team in the semi-finals.

judo

On the fourth day of the Commonwealth Games, the Indian team has got 2 medals in this game. In the women's section, Sushila Devi has won the silver medal in the 48 kg weight category. Whereas in men's 60 kg weight category, Vijay Kumar Yadav has won bronze.

weightlifting

In the sport of weightlifting, female weightlifter Harjinder Kaur has won bronze in the 71 kg weight category in a thrilling contest.

boxing

Amit Panghal, Mohd Hussamuddin, and Ashish Kumar have secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Commonwealth Games by winning their respective matches in boxing.

badminton

In the game of badminton, the pair of Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu and Satwik Chirag together have taken India to the final of the team event. In the semi-final match, the Indian team defeated Singapore 3-0.

table tennis

In Table Tennis, the Indian team defeated the Nigerian team by 3-0. Sharath Kamal, Sathiyan and the team together secured their place in the final.

Hockey

Indian team could not get victory in men's hockey match. Despite taking a 4-1 lead, the Indian team played a 4-4 draw against England in the group match. It was a bit disappointing for the Indian team.

Squash

Indian star Saurav Ghoshal has managed to reach the semi-finals in the game of squash. Sourav has made his name in the quarterfinals of the men's singles event. In the women's singles event, Joshna Chipanna had to face defeat.

gymnastics

In this game, Pranati Nayak finished fifth in the final of the vault event and missed out on a medal.

swimming

In swimming, Srihari Nataraja finished fifth in the 50m backstroke final and missed out on a medal.

India's position in the points table

Talking about India's medals, now it has three gold, three silver and three bronze. In this, the maximum seven medals have come in weightlifting, while two have been received in judo. India remains at the sixth position in the medal tally with a total of nine medals. Whereas today a big change can be seen in his condition. This is because today i.e. on the fifth day, India is expected to get gold medals in badminton, table tennis and lawn ball. Apart from this, India's account can also be opened in the athletics events starting from today.
